Attend this session to gain up to date information on how Sealing Systems Impact Energy Efficiency. Mechanical seals and packing are critical components for the reliability of pumps. The primary concern is to ensure the integrity of the seal between the rotating or reciprocating and the stationary parts of the pump. Also of interest is the energy required to contain the pumped fluid. The power consumption from the friction due to the relative motion of the parts in contact represents only part of the energy expended. The cooling or heating requirements in the seal area can exceed the energy delivered by the pump driver. Research confirms inefficient seal systems are used more than 50% of the time.

This presentation outlines the benefits of improving the sealing system performance, identifies the sources of high sealing systems energy usage, and categorizes sealing systems for energy reduction opportunities. The on-demand webinar will last approximately 1 hour.
